Oreopholus ruficollis
A medium-sized, long-legged bird with mottled brown plumage. It runs more than it flies. It is migratory: it travels thousands of kilometres. It inhabits natural grasslands and open fields. Its main threats are the loss of grasslands and disturbance during breeding.
