Our Reserve Network
For more than 30 years UPM has protected high conservation value areas across the regions of Uruguay where it operates, spanning several ecoregions and contributing to the care of the country's native biodiversity and unique ecosystems.
What is the network?
A network of natural areas inside forestry estates that complement one another to conserve biodiversity. Each one contributes species and habitats that are barely represented in the others, widening the total diversity under protection.
Every reserve has its own management and monitoring plan. The network includes certified categories: AAVC, AC, AMR and ACo.
