About the reserve
Located in an area where Jurassic sedimentary rocks outcrop, partly covered by Cretaceous basalt layers, these formations create an attractive landscape and a floristic diversity of great interest, with endemic species and others whose distribution is restricted to the ledges.
This reserve does not welcome visits
For conservation reasons, this area is not open to the general public.

Conservation priorityA large, entirely white bird with a pink bill and an elegant, long-necked flight. The Coscoroba Swan lives in lagoons, marshes, swamps and wetlands. Its main threats are the drainage and degradation of wetlands, human disturbance during breeding and illegal hunting. Protecting wetlands is essential for its survival.
