About the reserve
Viraroes is a small corner of 29 hectares located beside the Arroyo Don Esteban Grande in Río Negro. Despite its small size, it is home to a remarkable diversity of environments: shallow-soil natural grassland, parkland forest and marshes. This mosaic of ecosystems allows for the conservation of 179 plant species, including 9 priority species for conservation. Grazing management is the main management measure that helps maintain the integrity of these environments.
This reserve does not welcome visits
For conservation reasons, this area is not open to the general public.
