Mulita Chica
Dasypus septemcinctus
A small armadillo with a segmented shell bearing seven bands, a slender snout and short legs with strong claws for digging. It is generally active during the day. It lives in natural grasslands, grasslands and firebreaks. Its main threats are road kills, hunting, habitat loss and persecution driven by popular beliefs. Slowing down on rural roads saves native wildlife.
